4 cups self-raising flour 300ml cream, 1 can lemonade (355ml) 1 tsp. salt 1 egg beaten 1/3 cup milk |
Mix all ingredients in a bowl to a smooth dough. Have oven hot (We preheated
to 350 degrees). Tip out onto a floured board and cut out with smooth
straight sides with a scone cutter or floured glass. Put on slide (baking
sheet) just touching. Brush tops with milk or egg and milk. Bake in hot oven
for 15 to 20 minutes till tops are light brown. (The subscriber who sent
this to us advised that she has a friend that substituted champagne for the
lemonade).
