  • Dust & clean exterior, clean screen with approved fluid
  • Display should be free of marks, fingerprints, dust and streaks.
  • Cleaning should be with a non-abrasive cloth, and preferably with approved cleaner. Obviously a clean screen will aid in the clarity of the data displayed on the screen.

Screen saving & power management

  • A screen saver program, or the screen is turned down, to prevent screen burn. Most new screens have built in mechanisms to prevent screen burn. It is not recommended that the screen is turned off, unless you are going to be away from you computer for an extended length of time. The dialog box shown left from Windows 98 shows how screen save properties are set.
