- Remove grime from keyboard, case, mouse.
- Keeping your computer covered not only decreases the dust build up but help with the
prevention of theft. The cover should be antistatic.
- Floor coverings should be anti-static.
- A power conditioner/surge protector should be used. Note that if you are connected to a
modem, lightning strikes can come via the telephone jack - isolators attached to a power
conditioner/surge protectors are available. (You can minimise the risk by unplugging the
phone jack when the modem is not in use).
