Multimedia graphics - screen
capture
|
Basic screen capture
- Use [Print Scrn] button to capture an entire screen
display to the clipboard
- Use [Alt] + [Print Scrn] to capture
the active window
- Notes:
- If you capture a screen that has been set to hi-colour or true colour
(eg. 16 million colours) the resulting image will be large. If possible paste the image
into a bitmap drawing program (eg. Paint Shop Pro) and reduce the colour depth.
- Gif files generally reproduce better screen shots than JPEG since a
"speckled" effect usually occurs in the saved JPEG file.
Advanced screen capture
- Programs like Paintshop Pro allow for the capture of selected areas
of the screen.
