| To enable user input to be retained, such as the results of a
multiple choice question, database connectivity is provided by some Multimedia development
packages. This is primarily used in Computer based training (CBT) applications. |
Open Database connectivity |
To remain reasonably independent of the end-users database an "Open" specification for database access is often used. This enables the multimedia application to interact with the users database so that test results generated by the multimedia application may be stored for further analysis.
