Internally, a computer moves data in a parallel manner on a
Bus, the number of parallel paths is known as Bus Width. All bits are transferred over the
data bus at the same time. i.e. a separate path for each bit.
Parallel Data Communications work in the same way.
Many Printers use parallel communications.
Some Data Transfer programs use the Parallel port for short range, high speed work.
Parallel communications cannot occur over long distances (More than 50 Metres) without
additional 'boosters', and are incompatible with the Telephone System.
