Microcomputers (PC) - mobile computing |
|
Microcomputers, or more commonly referred to as Personal
Computers (PCs), first became available in the 1970's, when it became possible to put the
entire circuitry of a computer onto a small silicon chip. Today it is possible to take a complete multimedia office, with scanning, printing, faxing, copying and electronic mail in a mobile personal computer. Sep 97: Seiko Epson invented hand cranked PC where a key spring is wound up (like an alarm clock) when the battery is low to provide extra power. |
