Features
Can be LOGICALLY represented as a two dimensional table.
- each row is a set of data items relating to one entity
(i,.e. record).
- each column is the set of data values of one data item.
(i.e. field)
Terms
- Join - a connection between a field in a table and a record in another table.
(In the example Employee # is the "Join" between the Timesheet table and the
employee table.
Examples:
- Oracle, Progress, Informix, MS-Access, xBase products(Dbase , FoxBase, etc)
