Vehicle registration label

Late 1995 New Zealand introduced a new system of registering and relicensing vehicles. The purpose was to do two things;
- Improve the safety of vehicles, by requiring them to have a Vehicle Inspection Certificate (VIC)
- Reduce car theft by requiring newly registered vehicles to have a Vehicle Identification Number
In line with the changes the registration sticker shown is issued.

New Zealand Driver Licence

	1. Last name 2. First Names 3. Date of Birth 4.a.Licence start date 4.b. Licence expiry date 4c. Organ Donor info	5a. Driver licence number 5b. Card Version Number 7. Signature 8. Residential address (optional) 9. Class of licence (eg. Private car) whether restricted or learner and any endorsements.
