The goal is to produce the first slide of a presentation
that will tell your audience a little about yourself. (An example is shown left).
I will be using floptical bunny in the example.. feel free
to use your own data.
On entering Powerpoint you will be asked how you want to
create your presentation. In this case we will start with a blank presentation.
Select Blank presentation, then [OK]
Select the "Clip Art & Text" layout shown
left.
Press [Ok]
A blank slide like the one shown left will appear.
Click in the "Click to add title" box, and enter
your name
Click in the "Click to add text" box and type
something about yourself.
If you want to indent some of the text (in the example above
the interests; computer games, music, etc., are indented), use the button (tool bar at the
top of the screen) button (tool bar at the top of the screen).
Double click in the "Double click to add clip art"
box and follow the dialog boxes to add a picture that you like.
Now run your one slide presentation by selecting the
"Slide Show" button from the view buttons at the bottom left of the Powerpoint
window (see diagram left)
To return to the slide edit view press the [Esc]
key on your keyboard.
You might like to flash up you slide by highlighting some
text, then right mouse click, then selecting Font and changing
some colours.
