OR8P-6 |
| Starting the database | |
|
Before you use Oracle you should start up the Oracle database
server. This provides the underlying software to allow you to interact with your
databases.
|
| Stopping the database |
|
Before you shut down your computer you need to shutdown the
database server. This completes any outstanding updates and closes the datafiles.
