- Companies using computer based CV's use search engines, so
include lots of key words.
- If applying for a particular job, customise the CV - using the words
in the specifications.
- Know the company you are applying to for a job
Job interview
- During the interview listen to the interviewer. You may be able to
tell them what they want to hear by listening for clues eg. "I
like people who listen!".
- If you miss out on the job follow up with a thank you letter. It is
amazing how many times the person who got the job either doesn't
accept it or leaves the job a short time after starting!
