Welcome to the virtualMe on-line Research survey

Welcome and thank you for your help in this very important part of my research. Gathering user feedback allows the effectiveness of what is being researched to be determined. This online survey allows you to enter your responses efficiently and anonymously while providing a mechanism to distribute the survey results.
Before you complete the survey, you need to have had some experience with the virtualMe prototype (http://www.virtualMV.com). If you have not experienced it before, there is a walkthrough document which covers the main things that the survey covers. The walkthrough is a word document file (or pdf), in the sticky note window on the virtualMV home page.

How it works and Instructions

  1. A survey is set up by a researcher and is selected from the drop down list box called Research Id.
  2. To prevent the survey from appearing in search engines, you will need to enter the survey code.
Enter 55 (fifty-five) into the Survey Code box.
  3. So that you can change any of your responses at a later date (while the research is active), create your own personal unique identifier (so this is completely anonymous). Remember that others are making up their own as well, so make it one others are unlikey to choose.
    • If this is your first time, create a code with a maximum of 15 digits/characters that you can remember
    • If you want to modify earlier responses enter the code, and earlier responses will be displayed.
  4. A [Save] button is at the top and bottom of the survey, and you should save if you need to leave the survey for a little while. This ensures that if the internet connection is lost your responses will have been saved.

As a participant in the research you can

  • Withdraw at any time - use the [Exit] button
  • Decline to answer - leave the drop and/or comment boxes empty
  • Ask further questions. Place them in the comment box and these should be answered in the same comment box by the researcher (or email mverhaart@eit.ac.nz).
  • Ask others for support/assistance
  • Access the research findings. These will be automatically generated once the research is concluded, and accessed via your unique identifier
  • Please enter...
