10.EndNote

As an editor of BACIT ( http://www.naccq.ac.nz/bacit ) where I need to convert doc files submitted by authors to html, I need to remove the EndNote tags. This can be done in Word by.

A. if you dont have endnotes installed

  1. Highlight whole document (Ctrl+A) then,
  2. Ctrl+Shift+F9 (removes tags)

B. If you have endnote installed

  1. In Word use Tools > EndNotes 7> Remove Field Codes
  2. This creates a copy of the document.

Sometimes endnotes doesn’t format APA style correctly. When you are all finished with your document you can remove the field codes then fix them up manually (Do this on a copy of the final document – just in case!)
