V/2-Online: Privacy Statement

It is intended that all users of this site will create an individual profile. Identifying and demographic data are normally entered, but access to the site is not restricted if this data is not entered though some functionally may be restricted. Data collected may be used for academic research but individuals will not be identified unless permission is granted.

Sniplets and annotations are attributed to a particular user.

Apart from the identifying data several logs are maintained. These include;

• Last access date and the number of times a user has accessed the system.
• Which sniplets a user has accessed and how often (eventually this will be used to give feedback to a user)

Logged information is kept indefinitely as administrative and research material; it is not disclosed to external personnel. Aggregate ( non-identifying) statistics generated from these logs may be reported as part of research results.
